Crispy Cauliflower Tacos with Garlic Miso Hot Sauce Marinade & Vegan Creamy Spread Drizzle

Ingredients:

For the Cauliflower:
  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2-3 tbsp Garlic Miso Hot Sauce (Chef Kaz's)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
For the Crispy Coating:
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
For the Vegan Creamy Spread Drizzle:
  • 1/4 cup Vegan Creamy Spread (Chef Kaz's)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp water (to thin, if needed)
For the Tacos:
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup pickled onions (optional)
  • Lime wedges for serving

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Make the marinade: In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, our Garlic Miso Hot Sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, smoked paprika, cumin, and garlic powder.

  3. Marinate the cauliflower: Add the cauliflower florets to the marinade, tossing to coat. Let sit for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  4. Prepare the crispy coating: In a bowl, mix together cornstarch, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt.

  5. Coat the cauliflower: After marinating, toss each cauliflower floret in the cornstarch mixture, shaking off any excess. The cornstarch will help create a crispy texture when baked.

  6. Bake the cauliflower: Follow the same baking instructions, roasting for 25-30 minutes at 425°F (220°C), flipping halfway through until the cauliflower is golden and crispy.

  7. Make the drizzle: In a small bowl, whisk together our Vegan Creamy Spread, lime juice, and water (if needed) until smooth.

  8. Warm the tortillas: Heat the tortillas on a dry skillet or directly over a gas flame until lightly charred.

  9. Assemble the tacos: Fill each tortilla with a few pieces of crispy cauliflower. Top with sliced avocado, red cabbage, cilantro, and pickled onions (if using). Drizzle generously with the Vegan Creamy Spread.

  10. Serve: Squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos and enjoy immediately!
